Who are we and What are the swirls about?

Hello! We are artist duo Kirsty Louise Cresswell and Sophie Claire Lydon who work under the collective name Eye of the gLiTCh . We MA Fine Art students studying at University of Gloucestershire,  working in collaboration with each other and others.

 

We are working on a project called Swirls. The swirls being a way of expressing how we have all been feeling this year due to recent events. The intention of the swirls is to encapsulate everyone's emotions and thoughts within swirls, whilst also using the swirl as a way to connect with others. We use the swirls as a way of discussing with others, being creative and bringing a sense of community back, that has been lost due to the pandemic.

We also explore issues surrounding the swirl and the pandemic. These include environmental and economic factors as well as health and wellbeing.
